Future of Transport Minister to deliver keynote at ITT Hub 2020
The Minister of State for the Future of Transport, Mr George Freeman MP, has confirmed that he will be visiting, in an official capacity, the inaugural Innovation & Technology in Transport (ITT Hub) event which takes place in May this year.
The MP for Mid Norfolk, who was appointed to his current role in 2019, is responsible for decarbonisation, transport technology, innovation, devolution and connectivity.
Mr Freeman will be visiting Farnborough International on Wednesday 13 May, the first day of ITT Hub 2020.
He will not only spend time with the many leading exhibitors who will be attending, but also to deliver a keynote speech at a special networking reception, commencing at 5pm at the venue.
The Minister’s visit will round off a busy first of two days at this new showcase event, which features indoor and outdoor space, more than 100 exhibitors, a ride and drive vehicle demonstration programme featuring all the latest vans, light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses and coaches powered by a range of low carbon technologies.
ITT Hub 2020 is also host to the FTA’s Future Logistics Conference, which will be opened with a keynote speech by Major Tim Peake CMG, the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station.
“I am delighted that the Minister has been able to make time in his busy schedule to visit Farnborough on the first day of this new event” said Chairman of event organisers Binswood Media, Leon Daniels OBE.
“ITT Hub 2020 is set to be major road transport industry event this year, the outcomes of which will have a significant impact on air quality and will play a key part in developing local transport and air quality policies and plans throughout the UK”.
Government hub at heart of exhibition
The announcement comes hot on the heels of the decision to host a ‘Government Hub’ at the heart of the exhibition, to facilitate representation for and access to a wide range of Government and non-Governmental organisations that play a key role in the provision, regulation and development of current and future services across the whole sector.
Innovation & Technology in Transport Hub, (ITT Hub) will bring together all the latest thinking and technological developments which are already reshaping the transport and logistics landscape.
Taking place at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre 13-14 May, ITT Hub 2020 will feature conference space, indoor exhibition and outdoor experiential areas, all in one place, for the very first time.
