21st century businesses face the challenge of delivering in an ever-changing world, with the new technologies, modes of transport, a shifting workforce and other forces re-shaping the conventions which have dictated the shape of business to now.

And with such rapid changes occurring daily, FTA’s Future Logistics Conference, to be held at ITT Hub 2020 in Farnborough on 12-13 May 2020, will provide the ideal opportunity to debate the blue-sky issues facing the industry.

“The conference brings together the broadest group of visionaries and innovators who are driving the evolution of the industry, for two days of debate and discussion about the future direction of travel for the sector,” says FTA Director of UK Policy Elizabeth de Jong.

“It seems only fitting that we set the tone for the event with a speaker whose experience and thinking is from the epitome of future transport – space.

“We are thrilled to have secured Tim Peake, to share his experiences and challenge the way that logistics, public transport and technology operates, both now and in the future. It promises to be a stimulating and thought-provoking session.”

Tim Peake, 47, was the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station, where his work during Mission Principia inspired millions about the possibilities which space could offer.

A former test pilot, he is also a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) ambassador, schools’ speaker and best selling author.
