Mick Campbell has joined Pelican as Customer Project Manager. Mick’s role will be to project manage all aspects of the bus customers experience from initial enquiry to project fulfilment.
Ian Downie, Head of Yutong Bus UK, says: “We are excited to welcome Mick to the Pelican family. His operator experience will provide Pelican with a unique, operator centric insight into our sales process and further enhance our commercial offering.
“With nearly 200 Yutong zero emission vehicles being in service by the end of this year, all completed in the UK, I’m confident this is an exciting time to join our UK family owned business.
Mick commented: “After a 24 year career in the Army, I joined First Bus as a System Engineer, working with OEM’s, suppliers and Operating Companies.
“For the last 3 years at First Bus, while employed as the Engineering Project Manager, I started working with Yutong and Pelican to deliver coaches into SPS to provide passenger transport for the new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point.
“This provided a number of opportunities over numerous months to visit the Yutong factory in China and provide support in ensuring our requirements were fully met within the production process.
“I am absolutely delighted to join Pelican and am able to use all my operator experience and knowledge, to ensure we continue to deliver a high quality product which meets the requirements and expected standards of all our current and future customers.”
